1. Who we are
The Prompt Playbook is operated by Steve Farnworth ("we", "us", "our"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@thepromptplaybook.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service:
- Email address — provided when you sign in via magic link. Used for authentication and purchase confirmation.
- Payment information — processed entirely by LemonSqueezy. We do not store card numbers or bank details. We receive your name, email, and transaction reference from LemonSqueezy.
- Session cookie — a single, essential cookie to keep you signed in. It expires when you close your browser or sign out. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
3. How we use your data
- To authenticate you via magic link email
- To grant access to purchased content
- To send a purchase confirmation email
We do not send marketing emails, sell your data, or share it with third parties beyond our payment processor.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
We process your data under the following lawful bases:
- Contract — processing your email and payment is necessary to deliver the product you purchased.
- Legitimate interest — session cookies are essential for the site to function.
5. Data retention
We retain your email address and purchase record for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thepromptplaybook.com.
8. Cookies
We use a single session cookie (_session_id) that is strictly necessary for the site to function. No consent banner is required for essential cookies under GDPR.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
